Since 1837, St. John's has been a beacon of the love of Christ in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County and beyond. We strive to be disciples of Jesus Christ by gathering on Sundays for worship and other days of the week through a variety of opportunities to reach out into the broader world. We encourage everyone to be part of our work using an individual's time and talents. We offer a variety of opportunity for education and Christian formation because we believe strongly that questions should not be left at the door!

We are committed to God, to our church, and to each other as a family in Christ, providing and cherishing spiritual growth and living our faith in the community at large. Being together is one way that we support each other and our community. Worshiping together, in person or through online opportunities, is a main focus of our understanding that Jesus calls us to love one another. Offering hospitality to our community is another way we show the love of Christ to all.

Holy Eucharist is offered each Sunday at 8:00 am and 10:30 am for those who are able to worship with us "in person".

The Great Thanksgiving is also live streamed for those who wish to join us "virtually" at 10:30 am on Facebook or YouTube.

"When evening had come, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go across to the other side.” And leaving the crowd behind, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. Other boats were with him. A great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?” And they were filled with great awe and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

MARK 4:35-41

“Prophesy to these bones, and say to them: O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. I will lay sinews on you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

Ezekiel 37:1-14
