Since 1837, St. John's has been a beacon of the love of Christ in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County and beyond. We strive to be disciples of Jesus Christ by gathering on Sundays for worship and other days of the week through a variety of opportunities to reach out into the broader world. We encourage everyone to be part of our work using an individual's time and talents. We offer a variety of opportunity for education and Christian formation because we believe strongly that questions should not be left at the door!

We are committed to God, to our church, and to each other as a family in Christ, providing and cherishing spiritual growth and living our faith in the community at large. Being together is one way that we support each other and our community. Worshiping together, in person or through online opportunities, is a main focus of our understanding that Jesus calls us to love one another. Offering hospitality to our community is another way we show the love of Christ to all.

Holy Eucharist is offered each Sunday at 8:00 am and 10:30 am for those who are able to worship with us "in person".

The Great Thanksgiving is also live streamed for those who wish to join us "virtually" at 10:30 am on Facebook or YouTube.

“Prophesy to these bones, and say to them: O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. I will lay sinews on you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. "
